My first post...

Well, after reading blogs of the stitchers on the TWBB (where I go by CrisGA), I figured it was time to start one of my own. Y'all don't only enable me with stitching, but with blogging too, LOL. Of course, it remains to be seen if I will actually keep up with this, or have anything interesting enough to write.

I'm supposed to be starting my new rotation today, but I'm playing on the computer because I don't want to stitch the browns in the castle on Once Upon a Time. I really should go work on it though, since the lady is all done, and all I need is to finish the castle to have a happy dance. The rest of my rotation is Elephant Tree (by Stewart Moskowitz, charted by Vanessa Ann Collection for Paragon Needlecraft), Earthdancer (Butternut Road), and Dragon's Quilt (Dragon Dreams). Of course, that isn't all my WIPs, but I thought 4 was a better size for a rotation than 40.

The Stitching Blogger's Question of the Week: How do you choose a project? What “calls” to you the most?

Hmm, well, I love to stitch ladies, which is why I'm so fond of L&L and Mirabilia. I don't much care for yellow, though, so I don't usually buy ladies in yellow dresses. Purples, blues, greens, are a plus. I also like halloween pieces, though I tend to gravitate towards the cute and simple there, things like Lizzie Kate. I really love the two new Shepherds Bush kits, Little Witch and Spooky Sheep. I enjoy some band samplers too, I like doing the specialty stitches. I guess I can't really define what makes a piece call to me, but I know when it does!

I'm hoping to take DS and DD to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga this week, probably Wednesday, depending on DH's schedule. DD has never been, and I know she'll love looking at all the fishies.
