Whew! What a week!

It was Spring Break week for the kids. I already wrote about our Sunday trip to the zoo. Monday and Tuesday were pretty much laid back stay at home sort of days.

On Wednesday, the whole family drove to Cartersville to see the Etowah Indian Mounds. After we toured the mounds, we went to the Cartersville Welcome Center and then the Bartow County History Center. The kids had a blast there doing a scavenger hunt through their museum, but unfortunately I forgot to take pics.

Thursday I took the kids to the Atlanta History Center. We took the tours of the Tullie Smith Farm and the Swan House, and we breezed through most of the exhibits before heading to Johnny Rocket's for lunch and then home.

Friday was DH's birthday, and we went out for a nice breakfast at J. Christopher's. After that we looked around the Roswell Welcome Center (right next to the restaurant) for a few minutes, and then headed home.

Saturday morning DD and I departed for a Girl Scout camping trip. The girls got to ride in paddleboats, and participate in Pet a Pony, which is learning basic grooming of the horse and then getting to be lead round a ring on a horse. We stayed overnight in a cabin, and had a hike the next morning before heading for home.

So that was our busy spring break. Here's a slideshow of some of our pics.

What an action packed week! I have always wanted to see the indian mounds myself, I just never seem to make it that far east.
The Girl Scout camp was surely a blast, my daughter loves when she gets to camp with her troop.
