DD loves her new kitchen

She was certain Santa would bring her one, and he did. :) She's hardly stopped playing with it since yesterday morning. Well, sometimes she takes a break to play with her Barbies and her Chou-Chou.

DS is enjoying his gameboy games, a Yu-Gi-Oh one and a Shrek 2 one. And of course, the Yu-Gi-Oh starter deck he's been campaigning for for the last month. :D The first thing he did was open it up to see if he had a Blue Eyes White Dragon card. Thankfully, he did.

DH got DVDs. The Return of the King Extended Edition from me, Prisoner of Azkaban from the kids, and Chronicles of Riddick from my dad.

Me? Nothing that great. A way too expensive crystal heart statue, and the ugliest clock in the world. It's a coca cola polar bear, and it also doubles as a coin bank. DH got it in his head somehow that I like Coca Cola polar bears. No idea where that came from.

The heart statue? We figured that one out. I was looking at an austrian crystal crescent moon pendant once, and I guess he thought it was the heart one next to it I liked, and then, somehow in his mind, he transformed a $10 pendant into a cost god knows how much handmade glass heart statue.

I feel really rotten for not liking my gifts, because DH really tried this year. That clock is really hideous though, and the heart makes me cry every time I look at it for reasons I won't go into here.

The kids had a good holiday though, and that's the main thing.

I'm really sorry you weren't thrilled with your gifts...at least you all had a good Christmas. Take it easy and happy New Year!

I really need to read more carefully. I read that she loved her new kitten and was surprised that the kitten wasn't hiding by now.

I'm sorry that the gifts weren't what you liked but at least he did try and I'm happy that you've got a DH that cares enough to try.

Well your DH did put some thought into his gifts and that's what you said you wanted in your "pity party" post instead of an impersonal gift certificate. Be happy !!!
